'Blue Bar, NYC'
2020
Oil on canvas
34cm x 28cm
£295
This painting is inspired by my visit to the Blue Bar, New York City in 2019. Next door to the famous Algonquin Hotel it is an incredible place to enjoy a cocktail or two! The neon light gives the bar its name with a vibrancy of shimmering blue that was a joy to experience. I just had to paint it and hope one day to return.
'Windmill Hill'
2017
Oil on canvas
64cm x 79cm
£275
This painting is inspired by a view that I drove past for nearly 10 years on my way to work each day. Just to the south of Petersfield in Hampshire, one can see the windmill standing tall on top of a hill in the beautiful South Downs. Painted during the spring I aim to capture the warmth of the morning sun as the landscape glistens yellow and orange as the rape fields come into bloom. This view always uplifted me on my commute and I just had to paint it.
'High Noon (Meon Valley)'
2017
Mixed media oil painting
22cm x 30cm
£125
Inspired by my love of working in mixed media, particularly cardboard I chose to paint the beautiful Meon Valley at noon. Close to home, the Meon Valley is a beautiful location to enjoy and explore. Rolling hills, large expanses of green fields, trees and pathways with a view that goes on for miles. This piece is built in layers of cut and ripped cardboard to capture the variety of textures and patterns in the landscape. The oil paint lies richly on the surface to evoke the vibrancy and beauty of the valley at noon.
'Oslo Opera House'
2018
Oil on board
33cm x 45cm
£225
Inspired by my visit to Norway in 2018 this painting captures the brilliant design of the stunning Oslo Opera House. With its marble-covered roof and sharp geometric angles this building has everything that I love about modern architecture. It is daring, contemporary and utterly wonderful to see first hand. To walk on the roof of the opera house and gaze across central Oslo and the fjord beyond is a memory I will treasure. I have never seen a structure like it. The large expanses of tinted glass glisten in the daylight and the sharp acute angles draw the eye across so many subtle levels and layers of the building. Although very challenging, I just had to paint this incredible structure to fully appreciate its ingenuity and beauty. I would highly recommend a visit.
'Meon solstice I'
2017
Oil on board and cardboard
31cm x 23cm
£95
The summer solstice provides inspiration for this mixed media painting. This is the first of three in a series. Using cardboard I built up layers in such a way that the oil paint comes forwards out of the picture as the sun rays beat down on the landscape below. Semi abstract, I love to explore geometric lines and angles in my work.
'Meon solstice II'

The summer solstice provides inspiration for this mixed media painting. This is the second of three in a series. Using cardboard I built up layers in such a way that the oil paint comes forwards out of the picture as the sun rays beat down on the landscape below. Semi abstract, I love to explore geometric lines and angles in my work.
